York Rite: The York Rite consists of three distinct but related bodies: the Chapter of Royal Arch Masons (which completes the Master Mason story with the recovery of the “lost word”), the Council of Royal and Select Masters (Cryptic Masonry, focused on preservation of the sacred treasures), and the Commandery of Knights Templar (chivalric orders emphasizing Christian knighthood and the defense of the faith). Together they offer a progressive system of degrees and orders rich in biblical and historical symbolism. The Orlando York Rite Bodies hold their meeting at Winter Garden Lodge on the second and fourth Wednesday of each month.

Scottish Rite: The Ancient and Accepted Scottish Rite (Orient of Florida) confers the 4th through 32nd degrees (with the honorary 33rd available for exceptional service). It expands Masonic philosophy through a series of dramatic degrees exploring ethics, history, tolerance, and the perfection of the individual, organized into Valleys across the state. The Valley of Orlando meets at Winter Park Lodge on the fourth Friday of each month

Shriners International: Open to any Master Mason, the Shrine (often called the “playground of Masonry”) emphasizes fun, fellowship, and philanthropy. Members wear the distinctive red fez and support the Shriners Children’s hospital system, which provides specialized pediatric care regardless of a family’s ability to pay. Florida has several active Temples and Shrine Clubs. Bahia Shriners meet at the Bahia Shriners Temple at 3101 E. Semoran Blvd., Apopka, FL 32703, on the first Thursday of the month.

These bodies and many, many more operate independently of the Blue Lodge while requiring Master Mason membership as a prerequisite. Availability of local Chapters, Valleys, Temples, Grottoes, or Forests varies by region within Florida; a Brother’s local lodge officers or district leadership can provide current contact information.
