Winter Garden Lodge Welcomes Orlando York Rite

At a stated communication of Winter Garden Lodge No. 165 F&AM on Thursday, October the 15th, The Orlando York Rite Bodies were welcomed and gave a ‘circumambulation’  (Circumambulation (from Latin circum around + ambulātus to walk) is the act of moving around a sacred object or idol).  This program is an excerpt from one of the degrees of the York Rite and presents a powerful message to the Master Mason to seek further light, the truth and that which was lost.  Many of the brothers present requested petitions after the program.  The catfish dinner provided by the Junior Warden and the Stewards was a stellar event in itself.  The portions were very generous and the catfish was breaded and deep fried to a golden crunchy deliciousness.  The hush puppies could have stood alone, they were so good, the accompaniments were french fries, coleslaw and devilled eggs.  There were also delicious desserts consisting of pumpkin and ice cream pies.  If you haven’t been coming to lodge, boy are you missing out on some good food and fellowship!  We hope to see you at the next meeting!
