FROM THE EAST
I would like to first congratulate our three new EA’s, Brothers Angel Miranda, Jose St. Esteban, and Angel Marcial, who were initiated on April 16th at our 2nd stated communication. They will make great additions to our lodge and fraternity. I would also like to thank all of the brothers that came out to support them, the degree team, and Brother Reg Lyle from Orange No. 36 who delivered a wonderful EA lecture.
In May, we will be continuing to progress with degree work as we already have a group of five candidates that we will be balloting on to go through the three degrees in freemasonry. We will also be conferring a FC Degree for Brothers Bruce Earl and Thomas Brassil at the end of May or the beginning of June.
I would like to remind everyone that Grand Lodge will be from May 24th through May 27th this year. We will be reviewing the upcoming legislation in Lodge during our stated communications prior to Grand Lodge. If you are interested in going to grand lodge and haven’t registered yet, please give your names to the Secretary as soon as possible.
Lastly, we are looking at having the Scottish Rite, York Rite , and Memorial Lodge groups visit our lodge and give presentations in June and July. This will help expand the knowledge of the brethren as to what these organizations do. We will have an open program for Memorial Lodge to allow the families and guests to witness what a masonic funeral service looks like. This will go a long way in helping to educate the public.
I look forward to seeing you all during the upcoming events, and would encourage you to reach out to a member that you haven’t seen in a while and invite them to lodge again.
Worshipful Master, Winter Garden Lodge No. 165

Fraternal Greetings from the west. Seems there are no slow months in masonry and May is shaping up to be no exception. Grand Lodge will be the highlight of May and I will talk later about some issue of legislation you may have interest in. The lodge is busy with candidates and degrees. We have two EA’s getting ready to return their catechism so we can have their FC degree hopefully May 21st. There is an entire line of new candidates coming along that shows we are still an organization that draws members. FROM THE CHAPLAIN
Greetings my Brothers.
During the month of May there are many occasions to celebrate. Most important among them is the Memorial Day celebration. This day, as you know, is for us to remember all of the men and women who have given their lives to defend the freedoms which we enjoy and take for granted each and every day. This wonderful nation we call the United States of America has been blessed by our Creator in countless ways. We certainly have problems, but in spite of them we are still the best place on this planet to live and work and go about our every day business, whatever that may be. On Monday, May 25th we celebrate Memorial Day at the Veteran’s Memorial Park on Park Ave here in Winter Garden, at 8:00 AM. Your Chaplain will be there to represent Masons everywhere but especially the Winter Garden Lodge # 165. He will read the Roll Call of those men and women from Winter Garden who made the ultimate sacrifice during one of our wars and will place a wreath on the Memorial in memory of the fallen heroes of that war. I urge you my Brothers to take an hour, from your busy lives, to be present to honor those who gave it all so that we can continue to live in freedom. GOD Bless America and God Bless You.
Fraternally, Brother Joe Gracey, Chaplain.
