WHAT IS FREEMASONRY?

Ancient Free and Accepted Masonry or, more commonly known, Freemasonry is the world’s oldest and largest fraternity, with brothers of every nationality, religion, and station. Most people remember an uncle, grandfather, or even their own father grabbing their apron and ring and heading out to the local meetings. Through the years it has been speculated and accused of being a variety of different things, from a religion to a charity, at its heart it is a brotherhood of men.

Masons do not subscribe to any specific religion or political leaning, nor do we attempt to influence them; instead we follow the simple tenets of brotherly love, relief of the distressed, and truth. By joining Masonry, we are presented with the opportunity to meet with outstanding men of all walks of life and connect with them in hopes of improving ourselves, and our communities.

Masonry does not take bad men and attempt to reform them, as a fraternity we take men who live their lives with honor and integrity; and who wish to improve themselves, their communities and their fellow man.

How To Become a Mason

Becoming a Mason means embarking on a journey of self-improvement through education and fellowship. Since time immemorial, men from all walks of life and all religious beliefs have sought membership in the Masonic Fraternity for that purpose and have reaped the rewards.

Masonic Events & Calendar

There are many events that we support in the local area. If you are interested in volunteering, please reach out to our secretary for more information. We would appreciate the help and it's always in good company.

The Winter Garden Book Gang

Each meeting we will have a discussion about a particular book. You can either read the book or just join us in the conversation to discuss the topic. Your choice. We are here to support the growth of Masonic Knowledge.

BECOMING A FREEMASON

Many men do not understand the process of acquiring membership in a Masonic Lodge. No one is ever coerced to become a Mason or to join a Masonic Lodge. Though all morally good men would be welcome in any Masonic Lodge, the man himself must decide whether or not to become a member.

Once you have decided to join, you can request an application, called by our Lodges a petition, as your first step towards membership. You must have two Masons who know you to sign your petition, vouching for your character and qualifications, and receive the approval of the members of the Lodge to which you apply.
